Touchy situation

by Alya

I know a man who might have a mild-moderate narcissistic personality. He's driven by making a lot of money and refers to himself as being aloof. Apparently interesting but not unusual personality traits. But I knew something was not right when he would consistently put down my opinions and feelings while it was clear to me he had little respect for me. In addition, he would inflate the opinions and feelings of others he had so much respect for. What is difficult is that I used to see him (and even now he puts me down on occasion) so I don't know if I can help him or not and whether it is my place to. Just wondering if I could suggest to him that he may have a narcissistic personality disorder or would this be counter-productive by him potentially denying that he has a problem?
